- Why do I need to live on campus to have the $50 fee waived?
- Why can't all students, regardless of residency and county affiliation, have the fee waived?
- Is this fee fair to all students and non-county residents? Why?

Library Discrimination
I recently made an attempt on obtaining a library card from Nashville public library. I was told no, due to the fact that I am an out of state resident who technically does not have a permanent address and I live in a county different than Davidson. I assumed that being a non-resident, non county resident and student that the $50 fee would be waived. I was very incorrect! There are many stipulations on being a state non-resident, non county resident and student that I needed to understand. The policy is written clearly where you can find and read it. But, it's not written in depth like it was explained to me at the library. I would like these simple questions answered.
