Apple has announced the release of its newest model phone the Iphone 4.....oooo aaaaah. The date for the release had been pushed back time and time again and for what? Nothing... Absolutely nothing. The Iphone 4 has nothing special about it except that its.....white. All the features that are found in this phone model can be found in previous models. Rumors are that it is supposed to ship at the end of April but with the iphone 5 debuting soon there is no point to the insanity of apple. The key to the madness is this Apple has such a hold on the media that it can get them all excited over the COLOR of a phone. That is the scary part of the story. The way the apple franchise has exploded is unnatural they have your attention just by putting the simple letter "i" in front of something and it makes it instantly amazing. And like the media cattle that we all are we herd towards the shiny displays and blinking lights. They constantly have you thinking what next? I personally can't wait to see iknitting or itherapy.

it is pretty ridiculous that Apple has basically all media sources as well as the majority of the world captivated by such small things. it makes you wonder when and how our society became so obsessed with things like this and what would happen if we took it all away.
As an Apple fan, I feel like they're only responding to the obsession we've created... Smooth, white products have always been part of the original "apple" look. Some people will only buy white (or only black)-colored products from Apple. This company knows that it's users as just as concerned with aesthetics as they are with new technologies. I don't want to sound like a commercial, but no matter how silly the new products may seem, they are all useful in their own ways.
Let's face it. Apple has us all in the palm of Steve Jobs' hand. That sleek design, that seemingly endless list of apps, and now a case that makes the whole thing practically indestructable? We never had a chance.
This is ridiculous. What is the difference? It is getting to be where they are all exactly the same to me. What new apps could they possibly come up with this time?
I've been waiting on getting the iPhone for a while now. I never know when the right time to buy is! They are either coming out with a new one in a few months or changing the color or offering new "limited time" deals. I've been holding out that I can get a good one soon after the next one comes out.
