Android Update...Maybe?

I'm not sure if this post will gain much popularity as there are probably many more avid iPhone users than those who have phones that are Android supported. Since the came in, it was promised that HTC Hero and Eric users would be able to update their phones at least to Android 2.0 (as both still use Android 1.5). Although the guaranteed release time is June, customers are beginning to get impatient because 2.1 versions have been leaked that seems to work fine. HTC stated that the update could "very possibly" be released in a few weeks... That was over a month ago. And, there have been talks that Android 2.2 has been developed.

So, Will the Droid Ever See 2.2? Other Updates?
