Politifact

This week is the first time I've seen this really interesting site called Politifact, as described by the site "PolitiFact is a project of the St. Petersburg Timesto help you find the truth in American politics.Reporters and Editors from the Times fact-check statements by members of Congress, the White House, lobbyists and interest groups and rate them on our Truth-O-Meter. We’re also tracking more than 500 of Barack Obama’s campaign promises and are rating their progress on our new Obameter" I really think it's an interesting site, being fairly interested in politics myself I really like the fact that there is a site out there with people actually staffing it that is interested in keeping elected officials accountable to their promises, because I think oftentimes people only pay attention to politics when it comes election time, and really don't continually keep hold their leaders accountable for their promises, or their statements. www.politifact.com
