Just imagine yourself sitting on the couch on a Sunday afternoon during football season. You are upset because you could not get tickets to your favorite team's game, and your new HDTV no longer feels like your in the middle of the action.
Well, good news, my friend, because welcome to the future: the 3D television.
We were all wowed when movie theaters began showing 3D movies, so companies such as Sony and Panasonic have decided to take the idea of 3D movies and bring it to your living room.
This new technology will give the allusion that your favorite football team is literally jumping out of the TV into your living room during live broadcasts. Pretty cool, huh?

Personally, I have never liked going to see 3D movies because of the annoying glasses and headaches it causes, so I do not think I would enjoy it in my living room.
What are your thoughts? Has TV gone too far with the idea of 3DTV or is it the next new big technology?

I think it would definitely be cool to have the option of watching in 3D, but I wouldn't want to watch in 3D all the time. I remember watching the 3D commercials for Monsters Vs. Aliens and Sobe this year during the Superbowl. It was pretty cool, but not the greatest thing ever. There's only so many things you can do with 3D technology and I feel like I've already seen most of them. So maybe this will be the next big thing, but maybe not. Now when we stop watching TV altogether and have life sized holograms in our living rooms, that's when I'd really be impressed.
I agree with what Seth said. I think it would be cool to watch certain movies or a selection of shows to watch in 3d but not everything. I enjoy going to Imax to get the thrill of watching something like the Dark Knight which i thought was awesome in Imax. So i think that making it an easily accessible everyday thing could possibly take the thrill out of the experience.
Personally, I'm not really that big of a fan of the whole 3-D experience. The glasses give me a huge headache and for some reason, I can still see the blue and red from the lenses which irritates me greatly while I'm watching my movie. For some people though, I can see how this whole 3-D coming to TV thing would be appealing though, but I think the novelty will soon wear off because there will be constant access instead of the once in a while treat.
I love 3d movies and think they have come a long way from the Spy Kids 3d years, I saw Ice Age 3d recently and I wouldnt have wanted to watch it any other way, thumbs up to these companies for capitalizing on a really cool technology.
The technology is amazing and I cannot wait to see how they advertise it and maybe even get to try out the technology. I just think that there are some experiences people will not want to replace. Watching a movie in 3-D is cool sometimes, but I also get a head ache. I do not think that watching a game on 3-D tv will replace going to the actual game, but it would be a nice substitute if you were not able to be in attendance.
Personally, I do not like 3D movies, therefore I will not like a 3DTV in my living room. I am not the type of person who likes to sit and watch TV. I would rather go outside or do something productive. The whole idea of a 3DTV is rather ridiculous. Why would anyone want that? It is not the end of the world if you didn't make it to the game of your choice. I guess, better luck next time.
I am a huge fan of 3D technology and I love how far it has come. I think the idea of watching football in 3D seems almost unreal, especially for huge sports fans. I have to admit though I couldn't take it all the time. I hate to sound picky but a 3D on/off switch would be nice.
